EHS Technologies has a team of individuals dedicated to ordnance engineering and can provide expertise in a broad spectrum of related fields, including chemical, electrical, mechanical, and aerodynamic engineering. Several members of our ordnance engineering team have spent full careers as Navy civilians in ordnance engineering and are ready to apply their expertise and experience to assist our customers meet their needs and objectives. Our ordnance engineering team will assist with the overall scope of your project, provide relevant design ideas, and identify system design requirements related to the integration and installation of the equipment into the explosive operating environment.
EHS Technologies has an Ordnance Engineering and Energetic Team that can provide expertise in:

Past PerformanceNear Infrared SpectroscopyEHS Technologies is currently developing an on-line quality control system integrating Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Thermal Imaging technologies to support development of twin-screw continuous processing technology for the manufacture of explosive materials. The system will be designed and installed to meet the safety requirements for use in an explosive materials environment. This involves providing the NIR and Thermal Imaging equipment, associated support equipment, fixtures, software, and controller to integrate with the existing twin-screw facilities, installation materials and services, startup, and user training. Additionally, EHS will provide on-site training on the use of the system and its controller.Additionally, EHS has completed hazards analyses for small scale vertical mixing operations and internal deluge systems for large vertical energetic material mixing operations. EHS’ experienced ordnance and energetic personnel have conducted investigations into performance failures in the fleet of the MK117 JATO and have conducted a review of the Technical Data Packages and the manufacturing documentation for the SR121 JATO, CKU7, SMOKEY SAM, Polar Cat, and CCU booster programs to evaluate quality control methods and recommend actions to improve compliance. |
