Past Performance

Enivronmental Quality Assurance

EHS was tasked by a Navy client to establish and manage an Environmental Quality Assessment Program at their facility. The facility was large, had a significant amount of tenant activities, and a broad scope. Furthermore, the requirements for EQA were evolving to follow an industry standard for Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation.

After supporting the Navy’s EQA program for several years, EHS personnel began to leverage the EQA successes into the client’s EMS program. EHS helped create and implement the stations EMS Implementation team which included experts from EHS’ EQA team. EHS leveraged its knowledge of the environmental requirements and the stations assets to develop a new system of ISO14000 compliant aspects, objectives and targets. EHS utilized existing information and techniques to save costs and propel the client’s progress forward on the EMS implementation.

EHS helped the client maintain its positive compliance posture on the EQA program while meeting 100% of the EMS metrics set in December 2005. EHS’ program management services ultimately helped the client save time and money through this program and achieve recognition through the chain of command as a fully environmental compliant activity.
